Anywho, I spent most of that time acting like a manic workaholic getting Clockwise launched as an e-book, learning about formatting, prepping for the print version, requesting reviews, answering interviews, working on edits on my next book, Playing with Matches (fab edit work done by Leigh T Moore, herself!), formatting PWM and working on a cover with my AI guy, and meeting new indie authors online and making all kinds of grand plans in this fantastic community of collaborators.
Whew! Who had time to get lonely?
Or to do housework?
I know that I like to come home to a clean house when I've been away, so I always planned a big cleaning blitz before DH's arrival.
Somehow the inside of my house had turned into a fuzzy animal. I almost expected it to grunt or snore.

| not quite this bad |
And truthfully, I enjoy a clean house. There's a certain satisfaction after a major housecleaning blitz, a kind of work out and an (another) excuse to reward oneself by putting one's feet up and sipping a glass of wine.
So on to other "house-keeping" bits of info:
1) I'm being interviewed today by Misha, at My First Book Opportunity. Find out if I'm a pantser or a plotter.
2) There is an online book fair next week and CLOCKWISE will be there! Check back tomorrow for more info.
3) Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow I am being interviewed by The Shelli Johannes Wells of Market My Words fame. She is a force, I tell you, a force. Find out my biggest mistake in the publishing world and what a book of my life would be called.
What have you been busy with lately?

Ha, you should see the bunnies in my house! I swear, someday when I am rich enough I will hire a maid to only dust my house. The rest I can handle.
ReplyDeleteI can't keep up with the dust, or the dog fur. People who live in really clean house tend to scare me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm busy commenting on other posts in between working on the front desk of a busy, inner-city police station. This is why I only post once a week.
ReplyDeleteMy house is a DISASTER. And the online book fair sounds great!
ReplyDeleteAnne G - I hear you! Also bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteBish - LOL.;)
Tony - For a once a week blog, you're pretty popular! You sound busy.
Anne R - Well, I read that post of yours about a day in the life of Anne Riley, so I'm not surprised. When would you have time to add housecleaning to that schedule?! :)
You have been one busy lady. Doing much the same in many ways. Although I have been doing a lot of gourmet cooking lately. Time flys by when we get online? My house cleaning isn't what it use to be.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Housework? What is this "housework" you speak of? I'm almost willing to lay you a bet that Norm wouldn't notice the dust if it was still there. If he hasn't seen *you* for a month, he'll have better things to look at.
ReplyDeleteI normally HATE housework. I'm one of those hubbies that moan when the wife mandates its time to clean. UGH!!
ReplyDeleteThe only time I don't mind housework...is when the wife is away. What's up with that?
DL - Good question!
ReplyDeleteoh, god. I HATE to dust. Every other type of house chore, I don't really mind. But dusting... :p
ReplyDeletethanks for the props, honey! I do hope you found my notes helpful. You've been such a busy bee this month, but oh, a month w/o your sweetie? How hard was THAT??? :P ((hugs)) <3
P.S.
Good luck w/the book fair!!!
Elle: You are sneaky cool!
ReplyDeleteI had to have a blitz prior to leaving for the UK. My friend was moving in and her parents house is spotless. It was good to come home to a clean home and get stuck into writing again. Every day I have been flying around with my damp cloth and mop, keeping on top of things. NaNoWriMo is around the corner and I do not want distractions. :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the book fair!
