About Me

I write Young Adult and Middle Grade fiction. I'm a married mom of four, and live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, famous for beaches and vineyards. I'm fond of Lindt's sea salt dark chocolate and hiking in good weather. My Young Adult rom/com time-travel CLOCKWISE and contemporary/otherworldly Middle Grade IT'S A LITTLE HAYWIRE are now available on Amazon.

Body Image Funnies

My brain is fried. I have to finish the first draft of the sequel to Clockwise this week and the companion book by the middle of February if I want to make my deadlines. And I have blog tours set up already, so I can't fudge on this.

So, here's the best I can come up with that doesn't require a lot of brain power. Both of these are their own commentary on the modern view of "cool" and beauty.

Funny and scary at the same time.

If you believe in evolution, then you have this to look forward to. :)

And this: Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting...

  2. That first one made me chuckle. I should show it to my son, who's now at an impressionable age.

  4. LOL! OK, both of those are hilarious. I love the urban anatomy, but the Photoshop by "aah do bay" is too awesome. What was all that business they were saying when the little clear bubbles were filling that wrinkle? Wha??? :D

  5. That would be de-evolution. *shudders* I cannot figure out for the life of me why anyone thinks that looks cool. Too funny!
